But it'll fit just fine on a tire trailer...a 4x8 will comfortably fit the kart and all the supplies you'll need; I've seen them squeezed onto the small trailers as well.Dave-ROR wrote:I doubt the kart will fit in the back of the Integra, and def won't fit in the S2K....

I like this idea.WAFlowers wrote:Run the kart at lunch. It will be so entertaining that I'll gladly do an extra work duty to stand out there for the few minutes it will take.
Who's with me?
I've already registered with my car, but would like to drive the kart instead. Loren, et al. will this be ok?
Thanks,

Even the wagon (MS3) isn't close to big enough for a kart! I'm thinking about getting a trailer to tow my bike anyway AND to help John transport his toy -- probably a 5x8. The karts are about 53" wide.Dave-ROR wrote:True but I doubt I'm going to buy a hitch and trailer to transport something I don't ownJamie wrote:But it'll fit just fine on a tire trailer...a 4x8 will comfortably fit the kart and all the supplies you'll need; I've seen them squeezed onto the small trailers as well.Dave-ROR wrote:I doubt the kart will fit in the back of the Integra, and def won't fit in the S2K....

If I were driving the integra we could just strap one to the roof.aparke wrote:Even the wagon (MS3) isn't close to big enough for a kart! Ok... John is on Registration with Steve and I switched Muddy to Safety (I assume you are trained... lol)
I'm fine with consecutive kart runs personally, I've never been at an event with one so I only know what info I've read on how it is usually dealt with. I'm also cool with the idea of doing it during lunch.
I'd say we should hear from the safety gods on all this...

That's cool with me! As long as I can get some heat in the tires we're good to go, but these tires have been sitting un-protected for awhile (may not get sticky). We'll see, I'll try my best for an FTD!!!!leftandright wrote:Lunch is the best. You get to crank it on warm tyres, with a minimum of fuss. It's a show for everybody else. We'll save you a slice of pizza.
I can't wait to see the kart.
FTD?

What kinds of carts with what kinds of motors?Formula74 wrote: Dave- There is a kart in my garage right now that has your name all over it! I am now the proud owner of 2 karts! In any case, if I still have both by next autox, if you can help me out by transporting the "for sale" kart, you can test drive it!That might sway you to speed up your kart purchase decision! Plus I'll give you a good deal! What do you say?
Thanks,

Lunch is a great time to run the kart. Bill Flowers' evil twin volunteered him to work the course.I'd say we should hear from the safety gods on all this...
Go into MAE and edit your entry to change to the kart. Prepare to have your teeth rattled pretty hard -- Brooksville is a rough course when you have no suspension!Christina wrote:I've already registered with my car, but would like to drive the kart instead.

The one that's "for sale" is a 2001 Margay Chassis 32/30 mm tubing with a 100cc HPV 3 Engine that has been freshly rebuilt and blueprinted.. Here is the company's website: http://www.horstmanclutches.com/index.php?page=hpv" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;matsuwesty wrote:What kinds of carts with what kinds of motors?Formula74 wrote: Dave- There is a kart in my garage right now that has your name all over it! Oh yeah, here is just a reference as to what a newly used Margay chassis will set yo back alone:

Jamie,
I'm going to be getting there late, (close to 9am) so put me in anywhere that needs help, and I can help Bill and whoever else wants to work the course at lunch for the Kart runs. Just save me a slice or two. 8)
