I think I may have to experiment with the tire pressures at TBD, the last few times I've used what works at brooksville and it really didn't feel right at TBD last year.

My tire pressures are probably way off based on the gauge I use (both gauges are close to each other), but I've usually run 38-40 up front and 45 in the rear..., but may try lower factory recommended pressures at tbd this time around.

Still feel like a noob with tire pressures and feel

The nice thing about low expectations is you almost never go home disappointed.
That's why I'm planning on finishing in the top 20 in M2. That might be achievable.

How timely...:

Image

Unfortunately, I was driving a Jeep...took the lumps too well.

PS...the old STI passed 177,000 miles on the way back from 3 hours on chassis dyno...gained ~50 WHP...but it will be slower for autocross as it lost the spool of the stock turbo.

:*(

Great fun everywhere else though!

Looking forward to the last event...3rd Place M1 is up for grabs!

By the way, tire pressure secret: car manufacturer put a cheat sticker on the inside driver's door jam of every car...it is a sure way to win!

Should have been driving a Mustang...or a Charger.

212,000+ Stop yer whining. :)

Found a guy over at CENTCOM who just came down from VA Beach...says he used to autocross his STI out at Little Creek. Trying to talk him into an event....

I haven't autocross my own car for over a month!

So it's back with not 3 but 4 new 195/60/14 Azenis tires and a performance oriented alignment ready to break-in at this event. Can't wait!

Great picture Philip! I can't wait to see how well it does.
It looks like your tire pressures are off. [emoji12]

In that picture they actually were... How did you know that?

I asked to have them set to 34 PSI but they had them "around" 28~29 PSI, they felt like trash at that level. I'm running 35 now and they are feeling great.

Ha, I was just pointing out a hienway, there is a 3 - 5 pound difference. :blackeye:

I finally got my car corner weighted...

I used what I had to get it right (14 pieces of St Augustine Sod...deal @ $1.57 a square!).

I think it will do great tomorrow...
