It's time to get registered for the February FAST Championship event!

Back at Brooksville again this month. Working on another one of those "fast sweeper" courses. Stay tuned for the course map.

Meanwhile, go get registered!

I think speed will be dependent upon how well you can accelerate while driving big sweepers!

That wall of cones between station 3 and 5 I can see myself having an issue with. Too much speed going into it, and boom goes that wall.

There are places on this course where you may need to use the brakes.

FYI, I just posted this on TampaCarScene.com (the replacement for TampaRacing), that will probably bring in some additional people. So, if you're dragging your feet getting registered... you have been warned.

Early Session is at 34 entries right now and filling up fast, Late Session has a little more room.

I talked my Wife into coming out to the race on the 16th. She's never been racing in the Shelby. I may need to put some plastic on the passenger seat. That back stretch looks like another 3rd gear opportunity. Hehehe.

Sorry about jerking you guys around but I'm not going to be able to make this event, it's the 2nd time I've had to cancel, so if you need to keep the entry money it's fine with me, I don;t mind supporting the club, I'm just glad to have a place to race. Diane obviously won't be there either. It looks like the race team is going to do a test that week and I was just informed about it..it was a last minute deal.
Once again, I apologize..sorry...etc ....etc. do what ever you think is fair, I'm good with it.- Rob

No worries, Rob. Proper cancel, so you still have an event credit.

Have fun playing with race cars!

This looks awesome!
I'll be so pissed if I get picked for a lengthy jury duty on the 13th. What could I tell them to ensure I get to drive fast on the 16th?

I've been lucky enough to be picked for jury duty 3 times ! I was never picked to serve or was dismissed before jury selection, but still had to attend for the full day and sit in the "pool".

There's a option on all jury notices that will let you reschedule your jury date, you still have to serve, but it will be at a later date. I had to do this because I was going to be out of town that day for work, just tell them you have to work and get rescheduled.

Or if you do attended, just tel them that, "I hate all races including my own", that might keep you from being selected. :)

It's highly unlikely that you'd be in court on a Saturday, anyway. I think you'd only be bound up on a jury from a Thursday summons if it was a high-profile case that carried over to Monday and they sequestered you for the weekend. Best odds are that you either won't be selected, or you'll be selected for a case that will wrap up that day, as most do.

Last time I went, they had ONE case on the docket that they were holding us for... and before 9:30, the case got rescheduled and they sent us home.

Time before that, I served on a DWI case that was quite interesting (and a huge waste of taxpayer money), we were done by about 7pm.
