Hey all, if anyone is looking for a spot in the morning (and reg is still open?) I'm going to have to cancel for this month, 2 other guys already have taken that day off of work, so I gotta be there.
Think I'm going to miss the duel too, so see you all in January.

Re: October 13th TBD post event
Definitely an awesome event! I really wish we could be at TBD more often (and the 3 mile drive only has a little to do with that). Really glad I finally managed to get my car working (ish), and with the new rubber it feels pretty fantastic out on the track, relatively speaking of course.

Re: October 13 - Tampa Bay Downs
so I think I figured out what's wrong with my car - seems the counterweight in my harmonic balancer came loose. trying to get it done tonight, but in case I don't, does anybody have a cordless impact that I could borrow in the morning to get this fixed?

Re: October 13 - Tampa Bay Downs
Hey all - so it turns out the issue with my car is a little bit more severe than I initially thought. Seems to be an engine balance issue, so I suspect the guy that mounted my new tires took the car and romped on it and broke something. Unfortunately I can't prove this so I might be SOL...

Re: Sept 14 - SPC
crap crap crap!!! Friday the 13th hit me bad. Went to have the new tires mounted and balanced today and when I picked up the car it had a violent vibration. The guy tried his best to help me out, but it's a loose motor mount and it can't be tightened without pulling the motor.

Re: about to buy tires...
thanks guys. Going to go with the RS-3's and hopefully will have them for next weekend!
Doug, plans for negative camber are in the works. Drew hooked me up with his old caster camber plates and coil-overs - that won't be done for next weekend, but maybe for october!

about to buy tires...
Hey all, I just want to see if anyone would talk me out of buying RS-3's... They seem to be popular among the group and holy crap they are so much cheaper than anything comparable. I'm pretty sure that's the route I'm going to go, but if anybody has anything to say against them, I'd love to hear it ...

Re: Another "fun event" Idea
"bracket-cross" was my first event and I thought that was a lot of fun. I'd also like to try the reversible day and enduro at some point in the future.

Re: Power:Weight in Mod Classes
Alright, I know I'm pretty new here, but here are my thoughts - take 'em or leave 'em...
First - I think Power to weight is A factor, but not THE factor for changing classes. The best thing that I have seen come up that eludes to this is Jamie's suggestion of a point based system like NASA.

Re: seats
Good point Drew,
So vinyl is out - I'm leaning towards canvas over velour... I think that will be most similar to stock feel, and honestly - i like my stock seats, they just don't have the support.
Thanks again everyone for the input!

Re: seats
Don't buy steel frame seats, they are uncomfortable and dangerous. The steel tube hits behind your thighs and if you wreck you could possibly be impaled by the tube. Not sure if that's true or not. But I wouldn't risk it.
Pretty sure fiberglass, side mount is what you want.
Thanks Jeremy - I had ...

seats
I think I've finally narrowed down my seat choice to just a couple and I want some help.
I'm looking at the Procar by Scat Drifter series or 1790 series.

Pretty sure that 66 is faster than my 89 in a straight line, but I'd go for it anyways

Re: June 15, 2013 Tampa Bay Downs-post time
Cars making the right turn and entering the straight after the S-curves near the start, depending and at times, were very close to cars in the finish chute. There was some distance, but we'll learn the site and keep 'em a bit more separate next time!
I know that we have a learning curve at new ...

So, I hate to turn this into a broken Mustang discussion, but my throw out bearing is going out and I'm not sure if I'm going to have the time to get it done before Sunday...
Drew, that's what the noise that I was hearing last month was, but now it's really bad.
I suppose it's probably too ...

Re: December 2 @ Brooksville
Chris/Brian,
I picked up a couple of cases of water at costco on the way home yesterday that I would like to contribute to the group. 70 16.9 fl oz bottles total. I will have them with me when I get to Brooksville next month
