This one is a Dunnellon Championship event. Small. Casual. Sort of like a Classic event. The course is gonna be awesome! Get registered!

This event will be open to all drivers, just like a FAST Open event, but it won't be a part of our Championship series. It will be run more like a Classic event, casual and fun, but without the experience requirement of a Classic. It's "just an Autocross", come on out and have some fun!

If you know any autocrossers (or people who might become autocrossers) who live in the Ocala/Gainesville area, be sure they know about this event!

We'll be providing lunch for all registered drivers and guests at this event, too!

ENTRY PROCEDURES: We are required to have an escort to cross the active runway. You WILL NOT be able to come and go as you please, even at the end of the event. We must wait for the truck with the flashing lights and radio to escort us safely across that runway!

Registration is open until April 15.

All drivers AND guests must pre-register, this is a closed site.

So this will be my first autocross event ever. I usually only roll race and take my car to the drag strip but I wanted to try out autocross as it looks like a lot of fun. I have read everything on the website as to what to expect but was wondering if there was any advise that is not on there that may be helpful for this event. thanks in advance.

Have an instructor drive your car, that will save 6 months of learning.

Welcome!
The website is pretty comprehensive, but not necessarily event-detail-specific.
For that, I would suggest that you make sure you read all the information about the specific event on the Motorsportsreg.com page, and also digest all the emails you'll receive about the event.
And prepare to enjoy yourself. 8-)

Relax. Read this: http://drivefast.org/novice-tips/your-f ... autocross/ and the specific event info. That's pretty much everything you need to know. Be sure to go on the novice walk on event day, and we always pair an instructor with first-timers.

As Steve said, just be ready to have some fun! :thumbwink:

Yeah. Was waiting for feedback from Drew. But. Meh... Freakin' Drew. :dunno:

I'll give it a last look tonight and post it either tonight or tomorrow.

I will not make it this weekend, the silver Miata is not back together after putting in a new clutch. A week away in Colorado set my repairs back. :-D Found a screw in one of my tires from three weeks ago, explains why my air pressure was wacky.

Okay, here's the course! Simplified the layout a little bit and reduced the work station count to 4. "Small event mode."
