FAST Challenge

What are the "Challenge" events?
Well, "Challenge" events something that might be being phased out in favor of "Bonus" events.
We did a couple of arrive-and-drive (no work assignment, just drive) autocrosses for an exotic car group last year. They went well, and we wanted to offer more of those kind of events for anyone who wanted that experience (not just exotic car guys). We needed a name for them, so we called them a "FAST Challenge Autocross". But, the last one got zip from the Exotic Car guys. As cool as it is to see exotics autocross, we're not sure we want to "chase" those entries when we've got regular autocrossers beating down our door and selling out events.
So, the last Challenge event became a "Bonus" event for our regulars. A Bonus event is a lot like a Classic event, except that we ran it as a split event with an early and late session, and each session was VERY small, 25 entries per session. So, it gave the events a very small and intimate feel. It was fun.
Very likely that most of the Challenge events you see on the schedule will become something else or possibly be dropped.
