I'll be generating the results later tonight, but Steve said he couldn't get them posted until Sunday evening. I have some stuff to attend to this evening first.
Aside from the brief interruption due to lightning, I'd say the day was still a success... in spite of the rain.

I had fun even though I totally sucked some log jammers...
I just took a BUNCH of pics and they are uploading now. In 2 hours they should be finished and I will post up the link..
Highlight was the Vette which had some cool pictures, Ed's Miata roasting the tires off the line, the Solo Vee getting it on solid around the first turn, and a few other great random photos, as well as a bunch more thrown in randomly.
To the guy who asked to have photos taken of the Lexus: Your pics are in here towards the end.

Yes it was fun..... didn't mind the rain (worked course in run 2) but don't care for the lightning.
And I don't think I should tell my wife the extent of which I punished her little car today, Never thought the Aveo would be so much fun. My second Run with Carl along for the ride was by far one of the most fun runs I have ever had! When we both got out I think the people on the grid thought we were crazy we were laughing so loud.
I think the crack pipe Miata will be ready by September SO We'll see how long it stays in the stock class?

Long day........ fun event..... course was fast and good when you actually looked ahead
I'm not sure if the rest of you guys in my class got in any dry runs after I left. If not, you can post my times elsewhere or just not tally them for the final points.

I bailed after the 2nd run group (I'd run and worked, so ...) when I started shivering uncontrollably. Cranking the heater in my car the front of my shirt dried in about 20 minutes of driving and I was suddenly so drowsy I almost went off the road.
The rest of the drive home I ran the temp down to keep me awake until I started to shiver again, then ran it up, then ...
Got home. Tore off the still drippy clothes and jumped into a HOT shower. After that I crashed for slept for a while and felt much better.
In the future I think I'm going to keep my rainsuit in the car, just in case.
Despite all that, I had a lot of fun. I learned something about my car (thanks Jack) that I'm hoping to apply in the future. And I didn't even mind Kenny taking my car for an off-road excursion or woopin' my but by 3 seconds (I think).
Another well run event!

Kenny taking my car...woopin' my but by 3 seconds
Kenny has a bad habit of that...
More rain and lightning. I'm not sure I feel quite so bad about missing this one 8) (eh, yeah, I do.)

Kenny, if you get the results done, I can post them. Send 'em my way.
Great course, Jamie! I enjoyed it from the first run to the last. Of course run #4 was pretty special. Thanks, Scott!
I could get used to having that much grip... but it almost seems too easy!

My wife just was informed of the story. She said something about not taking the Sentra out on the course - ever, but I wasn't listening because I was too busy laughing again. That was probably one of the top 10 fun times I have ever had in a car. it just wouldn't spin... unbelieveable.

I had a great time. Thanks for chairing that one Jamie, great course. The xB impressed me, I had a great time driving it and I'm thinking about installing the Hotchkis springs I've had in my attic for 3 years on it. I wish the MR2 would have been good to go for today, but I wouldn't mind running the xB at St. Pete just to see what it could do. Kenny, I hope you can get the bugs worked out in the Subie so we can see that beast scream. Sorry you missed it Steve, you would have had a blast.

Good to see everyone after missing the last event - Great execution by the event staff today - well done, even with a little rain delay. As Jamie says, "You all get your salaries DOUBLED next time!"
I found out (again) how crap v710s are with standing water. Anyone have a good recommendation for a rain tire? It was just flat out silly (and unsafe) for me to push my car with it hydroplaning so easily, so I parked it after 3 runs.
The last 3 runs (after the rain delay) got progressively better as the course dried, but my driver still had control issues..... He is getting his pay docked for poor performance. Always something to improve on in this sport.....
It was a great pleasure to take a ride in the 'vette. Tim, glad you enjoyed our event, and we sure hope to see you become a regular.

Excellent course Jamie, I think I told you so at the event, but I'll give another thumbs up here. I would have been perfectly happy to run all my runs in the rain. The couple of mostly dry runs I got were equally smile-inducing.
Also, I think we all owe Charles a big thanks for taking his car home and coming back to Brooksville to pick up the trailer.

It was a fun course, too bad it was ruined by the rain. When I saw the two cars before me spin into the grass, I decided my day was done. I did get FTD with my 12-second run, though!
I am glad I left when I did, I was on the verge of hydroplaning the entire drive home. The weather got progressively worse in Tampa for the rest of the day. My drive home would have been worse if I had stuck around.

Jamie and Mike did a great job!! Although it rained, I think pretty much every run group got a couple dry runs. You know the course is slick when you do a complete 360° in a FWD car  . Overall I think it was a great event, everyone pitched in, (and like Drew said, Charles went way beyond). First car off at aprrox 10:40am, 2nd run group stopped mid way for rain and then lunch seemed to work out okay. I noticed a couple "slick tire guys" were packing it in because of no traction but were able to return after the break.
TracAction, I swear it looked like that Aveo was about to scrape the door handles on the return cross over.

Scott Wheeler gets the Addict's Award for loading the Solo Vee into the truck and preparing to get an early start for Gainesville, then unloading it again for a few sort-of-dry runs. And he's already spent the next several Christmas bonuses..."I need rain tires...but then I need another set of rims...and if I do that I might as well wait until I convert to disk brakes...."

We were really lucky to have had the event on Saturday, because today (Sunday) it was raining ALL day in Brooksville, I bet it would've been a rain out.

Glad you enjoyed it.... but didja have to smoke my time??
Jamie, VERY glad I decided to stay. X2 what has been said here about the course. We did enjoy the Gainesville set up, but I would give your course design the win!
As for the addiction... it's true.
