To the registrar --

Sorry, we need to change classes. The boy had to satisfy his new drive fix, so we traded the 350Z for a 2006 BMW Z4 M. Please change us to whatever class that is supposed to be.

Thank you.

Class R, I think! I'll figure it out this weekend.

Doug just showed me where the club has the lists for the classes on the website. I thought it was some secret list somewhere I guess  So I guess we should be in F.

Loren, sounds like you made the big switcheroo too. Tell us more.

I'm trying to get comfortable driving a stick shift again. I have to actually drive the car now. What a concept. Yellow_Colorz_PDT_13

Should be easy to drive, Eva. Get rolling in first, put it in 2nd. You'll have more torque than you know what to do with. (I know because mine does... and yours being an M... it has more!)

Yes, folks, I bought a 2006 Z4 Coupe. The Yaris is no longer mine. Mister "drive slow cars fast" has bought a fast car. Hope I can live up to it.

Congratulations Loren, that is a beautiful ride!! The coupes are real good looking cars. Of course, it won't be quite as humiliating being smoked by that vs. the Yaris..

Wow, a 3-liter. Biggest engine you've ever owned? :)

I think the biggest I've owned was one of those aluminum GM 215 V8 engines (the one they ultimately sold to the Brits) in a Capri. I believe that's also the only V8 I've ever owned. This car is by far the fastest, though.

And very sweet ride it is! Steve an I had the privilege to drive the Z4 today and I'll have to say it was the smoothest and fastest car I've ever driven ! Gobbs of power and torque, if i owned it my licence would be suspended in 2 months. Can't wait to see it out at a event ! 8)

Loren,

Guess who's going to be bumming a lot of rides from you soon? Guess I'll have to get in line though!

Might be a while. I decided to finish this season in J, co-driving with Brian in his 240. I'll probably take a few runs in the Z, and maybe do some BMW or PCA events in it, but I'm hoping I can get through the end of this season (July) without having to buy tires for it. Damned 18" tires are expensive!

You need to scam a ride in Eva's Z4M. It's like mine, only angrier! Mine only revs to 6700, the M goes to 8000. (The dial goes up to 11, must be faster, right?)

As for my license... I think a couple years of "hypermiling" experience in the Yaris just might save me from myself.

Getting close to full -- 6 driver and 2 guest spots left. And Class A -- Modified Race Tire -- is the largest class!
