Okay, who's up for supplies for this event?
Native wrote:One bag of marble dust, plus what's left in the spreader.
Nothing else. All gone.
It'll be hot.
I'd suggest 10 cases of water, and a dozen 12 packs of various sodas.
Anyone feel free to suggest otherwise.

I thought he mentioned later he couldn't tow...Eric, let us know whether you're towing or not.

I'm good to tow to SPC, I'm not good to tow the trailer if we want it for the event THIS weekend to do any work on it. I also have another bag of marble dust at the house. So we are good there.

Is this a 2 day event, with the points event on Sunday, 9/12? Or is it just a regular autocross points day on 9/11? Somebody mentioned something about a 2 day event, so I just wanted confirm.

This is a one day event on the 11th of Sept. The two day event is 16-17 Oct.

From last event:

GONE, by the end of day today:

12 cases of water
5 cases of soft drinks
20 bags of ice! Gotta be some kinda record!

MORE WATER!

I agree, more water. 4 bottles/driver = 240 = 10 cases... and that wasn't enough. Of course, we have probably 20 non-drivers, too. I'd up that count to like 6 bottles per driver, should get us closer. 15 cases.

If there's water leftover, we'll drink it next month!

Hello Fast...new guy in town looking forward to some FLA AX. Registered for the 11th. I'll help out where needed. I have worked course, grid, announce and tech. Just let me know. doctor_fun_ (at) earthlink (dot) net

Question, I need to get some magnets to cover my FS which is permanent vinyl. If I am production street tire 2 (G) what do the magnets need to say? Same with production race tire (B) when I run Hoosiers. Thanks!

Regards,

Kyle Langley

Welcome, Kyle!

All we really care about as far as car marking is the car number. We don't duplicate car numbers between classes, so T&S can keep track of you just fine if they can read your car number.

If you want to mark your class just so people know what class you're in, "G" or "B" would be sufficient.

See all this talk about co-chairing. I'm willing to try, but am clueless. Just keep me in mind when we need one.

Since I'm usually there early enough to help with trailer setup, and hang around long enough for course tear-down, you can pencil me in for either or both.

But unable to match a web handle with a name or an e-mail address to check registration, I am helpless to match you with a plum assignment to help clean up.

BTW, I really would like someone who's familiar with the police course to stick around for this one...reseting it the last time was a comedy routine, since SPC is not only back to multiple dots, but multiple dots of the same color for different configurations! If they really don't care how it 's set back up, let us know and we won't spend all the time agonizing over it.

Psst... put your name in your sig, then we'll always be able to make the connection. 8) (that goes for anyone else who has a forum username that doesn't jive with their name)

Since I'm towing the trailer...I'll be there to help reset the course. But yes, it's poorly marked and I swear they change it every time. They had put black over the old dots, but most of them have been worn off by our and other autocross events.

I usually stick around to help reset the course, too, but we still could use 5-6 willing folks to get it done in a reasonable amount of time.

Doug and I (Eva) will stay for teardown. Sign us up. Hopefully someone who knows what they're doing re putting the SPC course back together will be there to guide us.

I'm overwhelmed by the love.... :)

FWIW, another trend going on this month is surprisingly wishful thinking in some of the assignment requests...as in requesting an assignment that's already been full for a couple of days. Registration seems to to be popular this month. I encourage people to check the list when they sign up -- I update it whenever I clear the mailbox (usually every evening).

Since you are letting me co-co-drive with ya'll. I'll be more than happy to help you out in resetting the course. Make sure to bring gloves, those SPC cones are coated in some kind of industrial dirt that doesn't like to come off your hands. Now, I just have to remember to bring my gloves.

Thanks again for the ride. I look forward to seeing how I do in a different car & class and if I can help you two improve on your times. 8)

Looks like too much "work" stacking up for this weekend, don't think I'll make this one.

Looking at the list, unless Kenny G is sneaking in, we may need somebody experienced to volunteer for timer setup. We should probably make it a point to try to get more people trained on that.

Everything else seems to be coming together nicely!
