I can do setup/teardown as well, or whatever else needs to be done except picking up lunch (neither the S nor the Miata I should be using has much truck space
)
Phooey...I did lunch pickup for one event and got 20 large pizzas inside the Miata!Dave-ROR wrote:...neither the S nor the Miata I should be using has much truck space)

Certainly everything is up for discussion/suggestions. However, with the safety/course marshal review of your draft, we will take care of the majority of that up front.MusicalDeity wrote:Ok... updates are done... and John, I did give you safety since you said you preferred it.
I'm going to try and have to course available early, so I'll let you know as soon as that happens... if anyone has any ideas or suggestions before I finish it I'm open to hearing them
Has John been trained as a course marshal and done it under supervision? Couldn't find him on Loren's list of trainees.MusicalDeity wrote:Ok... updates are done... and John, I did give you safety since you said you preferred it.
No, he hasn't. To get him started, I passed on some of the reading material that Loren gave me regarding safety rules and course design. While I have been TRAINED by Loren, I probably wouldn't fall into the TRAINER category just yet. I'll leave that for the veterans for now. Kim - best not to give John that work assignment until Loren or his delegate has had a chance to train him.aparke wrote:No, he hasn't. Typically part of the training is actually following along with the course review and the check the day it's set up.Formula74 wrote:Thank you for your concern. I have sent Loren a PM and am awaiting his response. Let's see if I can get trained before we jump the gun and remove me from the assignment.
Proper safety training requires a lot of OJT. It's not possible to train a completely green safety steward to the point that they can be relied upon to ensure a safe event without at least 2 events of "shadow" training.Formula74 wrote:Let's see if I can get trained before we jump the gun and remove me from the assignment.
