OMG. Did he mean 852 pictures of one group? If you have frame by frame pix of #19 White and Black Mustang Vert tossing to and fro' from it's bumpstops I would enjoy them.

Didn't Ben pick this place? (I kid, I kid.) Seriously though, by far they had some of the worst service I have ever seen. Ever.

Still, that was a great day of autocross! Kudos to John for beating me in my own car. It was close, but this ain't horseshoes.

Thanks to all the usual suspects. Loren hit the nail on the head when he said this event ran smooth and trouble-free. Awesome job everyone. See you in November.

Paris love's taking pictures. And since we asked to be in a split group she was able to snap some pictures...

Here are one of each #1 and #10. I have 41 pictures between the two numbers.

Notice the cone in mid-air... oops...

Ben's levitating cone trick. I've heard about it. Now we have proof!

Nice! If you want to email me the rest of those: loren@invisiblesun.org I'll share them with Ben, and further ridicule him for murdering poor unsuspecting slalom cones.

Oh man, sorry to say that since you were behind me in the grid, I think the camera was on me while you were running. There are 0 pictures of your runs... :tears:

Sorry about my numbers being odd. I am cutting new numbers tonight and should be easier to read next time.

I have several hundred, 852 pictures to be exact from the Group 2 of the Late Session, if you'd like some pictures of your car shoot me a message and tell me what car, color and number you were and I will send them your way.
Do you perhaps have any pictures of the 187 car? Black Mustang. I appreciate it.

Today was my first event, and I had a blast. I managed to get two cones out of the way on the first turn of my first run, and all was smooth sailing after that!

Thanks to everyone for a great time. I was thankful for the 6 runs today! It took me a while to adapt back to the bimmer.

Here's my best, 28.08. Good enough for 3rd in S2 and 14th overall. I did manage a 27.7x, but I think Ben levitated a few cones before my run and they counted against me. Don't mind the unintentional honk:

I told all you to get close enough to wiggle the cones...as long as they come back down in the box!

If you have any shots of the black #31 Miata, maybe they'll show the time I left out there (pullg@yahoo.com)...but not too bad for six months off. Fun course, fun site! Looking forward to the next time back there.

I have to say, I have been to Peggy O'Neil's 3 times and EVERY time the service has SUCKED. +1bazillion to never going there again.

Now, I like that TBD is close, but I would rather drive 60 minutes to Brookesville and run a 60 second course than drive 30 minutes to TBD for a 28 second course. Not complaining, just saying.

Yeah, I hear ya, Joe. Some people like short courses. Some people really don't. We're still learning this new site, and were really due for an "efficient" course like this one that was so efficient that it allowed us to run 21-25 second start intervals, get in 6 runs and still stay ahead of schedule. We'll keep experimenting with the site and learning what we can do with it.

Airstrips are always good for more time due to their length... but generally suffer from the "how many different ways can you slalom" conundrum.

Everyone has their favorite site... and there are even people who refuse to even attend events at SPC either due to it's slick surface, or small size. We've gotten pretty good at designing relatively fast, good flowing, and fun courses there... but historically (we're talking mostly 8-10 years ago and earlier) there have been some really slow and miserable courses there that left that site with a stigma for some people.

So... we have different sites we can use, and for the most part, all of our courses are different. That's what makes autocross fun!

Yeah, congrats to Mary for the FTD, and for really walking away with it, wow, a margin of .8 ? :notworthy:
And it's even more remarkable given that the next 15 finishes with within roughly that same margin - well-driven, all!

I didn't make it til about 11 this morning, but the rest of the day was most excellent. It's been said already how smooth the event was, and I'll add another thank you to everyone who had a hand in it!

The course turned out pretty nicely, I thought. Yep, fairly short, but a good mix of elements and a couple of white-knuckle spots, especially with all the dirt out there. I drove well for a change, and I'll say I'm pretty pleased about that, too!

I liked the course a lot today. I got super loose on the first run and I was way too cautious the rest of the day... I started to get it together by my last run, but I hit a cone. DAMMIT. If I hadn't hit that cone I would have won M2 and finished 6th overall... Looking at my video I can't see where I hit it either. Bah.

Here's my best two runs... The first run is my 5th and the one that counted (28.0), the second is my 6th and fastest but I had a cone (27.6).

95 entries and 9 seconds from fast to slowest ( 8 if you pull the stalker) pretty amazing for a diverse amount of cars and drivers.
