2019 Schedule - UPDATED 6/25
Changes as of June 25:
We've lost access to the Brooksville airstrip after April 7, which really messed up our schedule! As of the end of June, we should have things settled for the rest of 2019 with events at Dunnellon, Lakeland and now Venice!
We gave up on trying to color "changes" on this schedule because nearly everything after May changed in either location or date. So, just be sure to look at each date carefully!
The Schedule:
Jan 6 - SUN - FAST Bonus
Jan 12 - Sat - Brooksville - FAST Open
Jan 27 - SUN - Brooksville - FAST Classic
Feb 9 - Sat - Brooksville - FAST Open

Hey Loren, special request for this course... I have a 3700 pound car that would enjoy it and I need to use up it's tires.

We're working out those details. By the time registration is open, that information will be in the usual place... the specific event info page.
We don't want to get up any earlier than you do... but, we'll do what we have to do.

Seriously though, I think the split event format is generally pretty popular for both "night owls" such as myself and "early birds" aka crazy people.. It gives people a way to attend autocross and not blow the entire day, which is important for some. I think it becomes even more important now that our primary site is twice the distance for most of us.

A big part of the reason we do split events is because *I* don't like doing large events. I have no desire to do a 100-car event. Split the day, and I can do two 50-60-car events... easier to manage.
There are certainly a number of people who have learned to love either the Early or Late session schedule... and even some who have learned to love doing BOTH sessions and doubling their fun.
The FAST Open events are split events. Unless we absolutely CAN'T do a split event, we plan to continue doing them that way. We like it. Almost everyone else likes it.

Split event works well, I remember my first event at SPC, came early at 8am, worked course before lunch, and didn't run before 3pm or so.

The Latest
Updated the schedule as follows:
Canceled the May 19 Classic and moved the Jun 1 Open to May 26 at Lakeland.
This change is PENDING! We're reasonably confident that we'll get approval for this date at Lakeland, but we don't have it yet.

2019 Schedule - UPDATED 5/31
Bad News and Good News.
The bad news is that we had to cancel the July 13 event due to personnel availability at the airport. The good news is that they wanted to also cancel June 29, but were able to find a way to accommodate that date for us. (be sure to thank them)
The other good news is that within the next week, we should have approval for some dates at Venice Airport. Once that's done, we'll publish what will hopefully be the last round of schedule changes for 2019! Three different locations, and no more back-to-back events at the same locations. So, lots of variety.
