Jan 1 FAST Classic - aftermath

So, I'm looking at that video. And I'm looking at the course map. And, I can't for the life of me figure out how or why that spin happened in THAT direction! I'm thinking somebody got lost. Should have been going straight coming out of the "wiggle" section there. Certainly not yanking the car to the left like that before the "box turn". (I kinda thought this happened closer to the finish where there was a significant left-right sequence)

Push Harder - Drive as close to the limit of your tires as possible.
Suck Less - Drive something resembling a proper racing line.

Good morning all
Thank you for having a noob on your classic day.
I really had a great time and will most definitely be back for more. A special thanks to Joe Brennan for his guidance through the day.

Glad you enjoyed it Tom, and we'd love to have you back. The "but" here is our sound limit rule and the fact that your beautiful Porsche, at 96 db plus, is beyond our 95 db limit.
The rule is here : http://drivefast.org/rules/exhaust-sound-level/

Gotta ask you to do something to reduce sound output, or perhaps a different car?

As promised, here are pics of the first and second run groups. None of the third group unfortunately since I was driving.

Here they are: pictures

Feel free to use as you like.

Mark – you’ll be happy, there are a couple of good ones of your S2000. (Time to do something about that blank avatar)
Enjoy!

^^^ We usually try to address the matter face-to-face, but sometimes it doesn't happen. So, you wouldn't have known unless we approached you.
We wondered if you might have had a cutout or some such...
Push of a button should be an easy fix, then! :-D

Great pictures, I wish I was able to get some shots in for the 3rd run group, ended up talking to Dave about some Honda stuff for a while and didn't realize that time flew by. The 3rd run group was the quietest lol

Looks like you caught my lifting my wheel

That's why I built my exhaust specifically for FAST to achieve a perfect 94.5db rating.

;)

Nice pics Dan! My car is a picture whore :thumbwink:

Really really late and still trying to post a good time coming through that sorta-slalom would be my guess. Would have needed some abrupt inputs to spin in that section. I would have sh#t myself if I was Mike...

15 1 S5 6 Sophia Sculerati 2011 Ford Fiesta 44.706

I really enjoy seeing the results of these events. Sophia is the pleasant surprise of this event from where I sat!! In the middle of the Gulf of MX.

She deserves an Atta Girl. :thumbwink: There has to be a great story here. :read:

The story, as I suspect, is that is my time. I ran a 44.7 that didnt show on the results. 2 of my times are missing. I think the other went to Terry Glazar.

Yes...Sophia herself doesn't claim that time in her car. She deserves an Atta Girl anyhow for wringing out that little commuter pod as well as she does...if I could convince her to drive my car, she'd be showing pretty well in S4.
