I couldn't get an alignment done in time.

I'll be rocking my crappy set of tires :bangwall:

Michele has come down with a nasty cold, so I'm thinking a slot may open up. I'll make the decision around noon Friday, so if you are looking for a spot, check back in the morning. If I cancel her I'll post it here.

Registration is closed, Ron. There is no "opening up a slot" at this point.

Here's the forms you've all been waiting for. No need to thank me. Just print them back to back on one page so I only have to deal with the one piece of paper. Thanks!

Dougie:

Do you want the trailer where it is shown on the map, or in the usual spot? I am guessing that the power cord will not get run over if it is setback.

Yes that makes sense to me to set it back to protect the power cord.

Thanks,

Some personal matters have come up that require my attention tomorrow, so I'll have to forfeit my entry. I guess that will open up a place for a walk-up registration.

Maybe next month ...

Guys, WE DON'T DO walk-up registration any more. Haven't for at least 9 months.

Oh, I didn't know that. Remember, until this summer I haven't run for 2 years! I guess things change. :dunno:

s'okay, Bill. Just wanted to be clear about it.

We really only want 65 entries, 70 tops. So, we allow 75 pre-registered entries with the expectation that normally 5-8 of them will cancel or no-show after pre-reg is closed. That's the plan.

Doug, I've read about that stripper. I thought about it, but I just don't like being around strong chemicals with nasty fumes. A friend has a lead on a company that does sand blasting, so I will hopefully try that. Let me know if you know an outfit that can do that. It's surprisingly difficult to find such a service or rent a bead blast machine... at least for me.
I have used Aircraft Stripper and the fumes are very minimal. Working in the medical field most of my adult life, breathing purified air I am some what sensitive to fumes. It really is easy to use. Simply paint it on with a paint brush and wait about a minute and spray it with a hose to deactivate the chemical.

I have a 1/4 can of unused stripper I can bring Saturday if you would like to try before you buy.
Doug, I'll be there a bit early to help with tech if needed (attempt to stay on topic somewhat).

Also,

Thanks for the insight, Matt and Doug. I bought some aircraft remover and a respirator today. It was a spray can rather than the large container, so not quite as easy since it's not coated so thick. I'm not done yet, but it's looking good on the one wheel I'm using as a guinea pig. Paint coming off in sheets with clean silver metal underneath. Pretty cool.

Steve,
