Any photos this month?
Yeah, I was really hoping for some photos, but there's only maybe 2 dozen if that, and that was only the first group and a little of the second.

Re: Sept SPC 2011

Leave it in the car, you don't need it while you're working course, anyway!

I didn't say I was using my phone on the course. It was in my pocket which isn't exactly waterproof.
Chill, Charles! I wasn't trying to argue with you, just offering an extremely simple solution to your problem. Don't ...

Re: Sept SPC 2011

Getting soaked in the rain while working the course didn't bother me so much as worrying about my iPhone getting soaked and/or ruined. Next time I'll bring a little zip-lock baggie with me to put my phone in.

Re: Sept SPC 2011

I was in the fourth group. I was originally hoping it wouldn't rain, but now that I think about it, I'm glad it did. For me, being that it was my very first time, the rain made me go slower and focus more on my braking and turn-in. It also helped me push my car to such limits as to get the back end ...

Re: Sept SPC 2011

Yes, it was a great day. I had a blast! For a first timer, I think I did pretty decent with a best of 31.6 or something like that, and in the rain to boot!

Eric , it's amazing how slow your car looks in the video, but I was there and know for a fact you were tearing it up. I can't believe how that ...

Sounds good. Thanks guys!

Now these are my DD tires, so I'm hoping not to tear them up too much.

A couple "pre-race" questions...

I know this is a really late subject considering the first event is tomorrow morning, but I was just thinking about it and felt that I needed to ask some questions.

So on my '91 Miata I have Megan Street Series coilovers and Falken ZIEX ZE-912 tires in the 195/60-14 variety. Since this is my first ...

Can somebody post up a Google Map link to tomorrow's race location?

It's my first time going and I'll be following Bill in the morning, but I need to get the map/location so my girlfriend can show up a little later in the afternoon.

Many thanks in advance!

Re: PLEASE READ: Event Awards

Not that I've ever attended any events, but these are all valid points and make sense to me. And sticking around till the end to help pack up/clean up is common sense if you ask me. It's a TEAM event and it should be a TEAM effort to take care of everything from beginning to end. There will be times ...

Re: Hi, Everyone!

Thanks John. However, the BRG is looking in a pretty sad state at the moment as the paint job looks like pooh. It needs a major bath and wax. It does have a nice, new, shiny "blue" header on it though as of tonight thanks to Bill and another friend! :smurf:

And Bill, I will definitely help haul ...

Re: Hi, Everyone!

Hello all!

I just registered on here last night because our good friend Bill Beers has finally talked me into coming out to one of the events, in this case, the Sept 10th event next weekend. It's practically right down the street from where I live and he says it's a nice simple course for a ...
